Restore donations from your house can help a family build theirs
It's so invigorating to scour the house for all the clothes that don't fit right, kitchen gadgets that you don't use anymore, and toys that your kids don't play with. If you've recently remodeled or redecorated, Habitat for Humanity is the perfect place to donate those items. And now there's another reason to feel good about de-cluttering your home. When you donate your usable things to Habitat for Humanity of Espanola Valley and Los Alamos, we'll sell them in our new Thrift Shop or our ReStore and the money will go directly towards Habitat for Humanity's mission, which is to eliminate poverty housing. Funds generated remain in your community, Los Alamos and Espanola Valley. And on Earth Day we're making it as easy as possible to keep your usable things out of the landfill.

Day Festival - April 30th 2011
* The Earth Day Festival is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Habitat will have
the trucks ready to take donations an hour before the event starts,
at 9 a.m.
*There's no need to tag your items, pay for classified ad space, or
make cardboard signs.
* Simply hand over your donations and we will give you a receipt for
your taxes.
* Want to get rid of something that doesn't fit in your car? No problem!
Just let us know where you live and we'll take it away.
We're collecting all types of good reusable donations for our new Thrift Shop, opening May 2, 2011. When we opened our ReStore in Española in 1997, it was the first ReStore in the State of New Mexico. At the time there were only 50 ReStores in the U.S. Now there are 720! We raise money from good will donations in our Espanola Thrift Store and Restore sales.
Bringing your donations to the store is easy. There is plenty of space to pull into the yard and unload and we rarely turn anything away. At the ReStore we accept building materials like lumber, windows, sinks, all types of cabinets, and tile. We have appliances, paint and painting supplies; plumbing equipment and more! Do you have a car, boat, motorcycle, RV camper or other vehicle to
donate to Cars for Homes? Your vehicle does not have to be in running
condition but must be on wheels. Please call Habitat for Humanity International
at 1-877-277-4344 or www.carsforhomes.org
to arrange a pick up of your donation. Your Cars for Homes donation
will benefit your local Habitat Affiliate.
Promoting Reuse and Recycling
ReStore resale outlets provide an environmentally and socially responsible
way to keep good, reusable materials out of the waste stream while providing
funding for Habitat’s community improvement work.
